The Musical Expedition takes music beyond academic halls and presents world classics to the audience "in historical settings". Outstanding performers come to small towns in Russia and perform in the most unexpected spaces. The participants of the expedition played in the mountains, valleys, forests and reserves, in noble estates and merchant chambers, centers of folk crafts and factory workshops, ancient cities and remote settlements.

 

The tenth summer of the expedition will take place in amazing places in the Vladimir and Tyumen regions, Udmurtia, Polenovo and Leninsky Gorki estates. Art director Boris Andrianov traditionally gathered famous musicians and selected an effective program that is interesting to both new and sophisticated listeners — for whom, as usual, admission is free.

"Musical Expedition" is a travel festival. Not only in amazing places, but also in the musical repertoire: this year we will hear works of Baroque, romanticism and jazz of the twentieth century, from piano pieces by Francois.
